Opioid Use Best Practices

In this workshop, participants will learn about the trends associated with prescribing opioids for pain. The current guidance information on how to prescribe and monitor the use of opioids will be presented. Participants will also learn about effective prevention strategies that decrease the negative consequences associated with opioid misuse and overdose. Prevention strategies currently being utilized across the country will be explored and discussed. Participants will also be given an opportunity to discuss some of these trends with colleagues and get many of their questions answered about opioid misuse.
