Practical Application of Resilience and Reliability Activities at Scale SUMMARY: The HQIC Reliability and Resilience Learning Action Series aims to educate and engage hospital leaders on the concepts and practices of resilience and high reliability in health care. This event has been created in collaboration with other HQICs and all hospitals are invited to attend. LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 1. Discuss the foundations, theories, and applications of resilience and high-reliability organizing in health care. 2. Describe practical implementation strategies for activities that promote reliability and resilience, as well as tools and resources available to health care organizations. 3. Identify one idea to test at the local level to address reliability and resilience.

April 17, 2024 Nursing Home Patient Safety Series - Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration Between the Infection Preventionist and the Medical Director: The Key to Preventing and Managing Urinary Tract Infections

*CME and NAB credits awarded* SUMMARY: In this healthcare-associated infection (HAI) prevention educational event, we will discuss interventions to promote collaboration between the infection preventionist (IP) and the clinical leadership team to prevent and manage urinary tract infections (UTIs) in nursing facilities. IN THIS EVENT, WE WILL: 1. Highlight the importance of multi-disciplinary collaboration between the IP and the medical director. 2. Discuss the medical director’s role in UTI quality improvement initiatives. 3. Review protocols and procedures medical directors and IPs can implement to prevent and manage UTIs. 4.
