Dennis White, MSIT, DHA, President & CEO
Dr. Dennis White is the president and chief executive officer at Alliant Health Solutions, a $30 million non-profit family of companies helping governmental agencies ensure that tax dollars are used appropriately in the administration of public sector health care programs. With more than 25 years of financial, health care and information technology experience, White has spent the last 20+ years focusing on state and federal government contracting. He has extensive experience in operational and organizational development, as well as the implementation of large-scale technology projects. Under Dr. White’s leadership, Alliant has expanded operations throughout the south-east, resulting in the opening of offices in Mississippi and South Carolina. The company is a 2013 recipient of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s highly coveted “Best Places to Work” award and is one of only 10 companies in the Atlanta area to receive this recognition at least four times out of the past five years. His passion for service to the community has facilitated an organizational commitment to give 10 percent of the company’s net proceeds to fund initiatives of other non-profit organizations to make health care better. He has also spearheaded tremendous employee involvement with Open Hand in Atlanta, which has presented Alliant with its “Community Spirit Award” on multiple occasions. Currently Dr. White serves as Chairman of the Georgia Health Information Network (GaHIN), a state-wide collaborative serving to improve the quality and efficiency of the state’s health care by building local health data sharing communities. A 2012 graduate of Leadership Atlanta, he is also an advisory board member for the Institute of Health Administration for the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, Open Hand and the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Dr. White is the 2013 recipient of the Community Leader of the Year Phoenix Award from the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Dr. White is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina with a doctorate in Healthcare Administration. Additionally he holds a Master of Science Degree in the Management of Information Technology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Christian Brothers University.
Carol Allen, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Carol Allen Carol Allen is Alliant's Vice President of Operations and Chief Operating Officer. With her previous experience as director of Alliant GMCF's Medicaid operations, Allen is skilled in prior authorization, utilization management, medical review of waiver programs, hospital outlier and suspended claims, SURS reviews, utilization and compliance reviews, the Georgia Nurse Aide Program and the Medicaid Medical and Agency Referral Network. A Six Sigma Black Belt, Allen has managed the development of national and local clinical quality improvement initiatives, and has more than 25 years of management experience in health care. Prior to joining Alliant, she had more than 10 years’ experience in operations management for a hospital-based outpatient clinic.
Anup Gopalakrishnan, Chief Financial Officer
Anup Gopolakrishnan Anup is Alliant’s Chief Financial Officer responsible for Alliant’s day-to-day finance management. Anup brings a unique blend of public and private company experience of over 20 years to Alliant. He is a data driven technologist with a passion for best practices and process improvement. Previously, he served as the Senior Vice President of Finance at Healthcare Solutions, a medical cost management solutions provider, where he was responsible for all analysis and reporting, mergers and acquisitions, sales projections and expense reduction initiatives. Prior to that he was the Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at LogistiCare Solutions, the leader in non-emergency medical transportation and was instrumental in helping the company achieve double digit growth. Anup started his career as a software engineer with Tata Consultancy Services, a global IT solutions provider and was recruited by the Chief Economist at Delta Air Lines to forecast and plan the revenue for the airline. Anup holds a MBA in Finance and Decision Analysis from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, India.
Tom Bennett, Director of Quality and Compliance
Tom Bennett Tom Bennett serves as GMCF Director of Quality and Compliance. He ensures GMCF service and deliverables meets the high quality standards GMCF has set. He also ensures GMCF policies, systems and procedures are aligned to government requirements. Mr. Bennett oversees ISO 9001:2008 certification, URAC accreditation and serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer. He is responsible for ensuring any conflicts of interest are identified and mitigated. Mr. Bennett holds a Nursing degree from Emory University and has worked at GMCF for 25 years.
John Slaughter, Chief Information Officer
John Slaughter’s background in Information Technology spans over 15 years in system development and project implementations for financial services, telecommunications, and health care. John is responsible for all Information Technology systems to its employees and customers, including data analysis and reporting. Since joining Alliant GMCF, John has overseen the implementation of solutions that support Alliant’s broad customer needs and requirements. As Chief Information Officer, John oversees the adherence to all FISMA and 508 standards for technology solutions. John attended Tulane University where he studied Chemical Engineering.
Dr. Adrienne Mims, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Mims is a board-certified family medicine/geriatrician with over 30 years of primary care, consultative and home care geriatric experience. She has been a medical administrator for 20 years. In addition to her leadership at Alliant GMCF and AHQA, Dr. Mims is serving a second term on the Board of Directors for the American Geriatric Society, where she chairs the Audit Committee. She also is a member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians, and is adjunct faculty for Morehouse School of Medicine in the departments of Family Medicine and Preventive Health and Community Medicine and Emory Geriatrics.
Linda Kluge, Executive Director, Alliant Quality - QIN-QIO
Linda Kluge has more than 30 years experience in a variety of healthcare settings and has managed large, multi-state programs for the nation’s largest nursing home company. She joined GMCF 10 years ago and has developed virtual teams deployed to reach providers and stakeholders in a cross-setting and cross-task approach. Her focus has been development oversight for strategic initiatives, advisory boards, LANs, and campaigns to improve the quality of healthcare for Medicare beneficiaries.
JoVonn Givens, QIN-QIO State Program Director for Georgia
JoVonn Givens JoVonn Givens has over ten years of quality improvement experience and six years of health education and public health research experience. In her role as State Program Director for Georgia, Givens has been involved in managing the Internal Quality Control Plan, overseeing quality advisors, maintaining deliverable schedules, and implementing a continuous quality improvement methodology. She also serves as a member of the Georgia Health Literacy Alliance. Givens also brings significant expertise in building stakeholder relationships, having developed state-wide and provider-specific programming for system-level change that led to improved chronic kidney disease (CKD) outcome.
Leighann Sauls, QIN-QIO State Program Director for North Carolina

Leighann Sauls is a registered nurse with more than 23 years of nursing experience and 10 years of quality improvement experience.  She began her nursing career as a dialysis nurse.  Prior to her position as the North Carolina State Director for the QIN-QIO, she was the Director of Quality Improvement for the Southeastern Kidney Council, the End Stage Renal Disease Network of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.  In this role, she developed, implemented and evaluated quality improvement initiatives with ESRD providers to improve the quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries.
